Becoming a Member

SOTA is a team of friendly and mature individuals who share a passion for milsim airsoft. As such, we are constantly looking for new people to join our ranks who embody the same principles. We strive to exhibit good sportsmanship and professionalism both on and off the battlefield, as well as maintaining unified loadouts and expert tactics. Although good gear and smart comat sense grow with experience and time, honesty, sportsmanship, responsibility, maturity and a likeable personality compatible with SOTA are prerequisite to any recruit's consideration for full membership.

We encourage interested operators to come and attend some games or practices with us. If we like what we see, we will offer you a position as a recruit on our team. SOTA does not engage in active recruiting, and all potential members are on an invite-only basis and must be sponsored by a veteran member. To join SOTA, all new players will be put through our recruitment process during which you will be required to attend which will evaluate your honor, tactical ability, general compatibility with our full members, and adherence to our stringent gear requirements. At the team's discretion, and on the basis of majority vote, we may elect you to full membership status. This process is designed to take about three months, but may occasionally take longer.

Full members are able to wear team patches and nametapes, and will have opportunities to join special units of SOTA, such as our competiton CQC team (all members and recruits can participate in CQC training). Additionally, after a year of active participation, members graduate to Veteran Member status, which allows them to sponsor other operators for recruitment and also to serve SOTA in administrative positions, for which elections are held yearly.
